Working assignment end dates before the contractor is gone
The end date on a placement record and the end date on a work order are two different facts, and only one of them moves when a client extends. Revisions arrive in the portal, so a placement can show a date that passed while the person is still working, or show a live assignment that finished two weeks ago. Either way the redeployment conversation happens late, and by the final week another supplier has already had it. What is wanted is a short dated list, not a report of everything.
The parser reads the resume, then somebody corrects the employment dates it merged, which is most of the time it was supposed to save.
Resumes arrive in every format that has ever existed, including scans with no text layer and designed templates in two columns that get read in the wrong order. Parsing is nearly always a third-party component, and its characteristic failure is employment history: dates written as ranges with words in them produce merged employers and wrong tenure.

When this is the wrong thing to build
Pick something else if the contract book is small enough that whoever placed each person still speaks to them weekly. A watchlist only helps once the number of live assignments has passed the point where anybody can hold the end dates in their head.
