Assembling what an adviser needs before a review meeting
Preparation is the part that runs long. Somebody opens the relationship system for the last note, the reporting platform for performance and drift, the planning tool for what has changed since the plan was last saved, and the custodian for anything still pending. Only then does it become an agenda. Whether this is worth building turns on shape. If the pack looks the same for every household in a review cycle, it assembles. If each adviser wants a different page, it stays a handmade document.
The account application comes back not in good order because of a missing initial, and the whole signature cycle runs again.
The custodian holds the assets and is the record. The advisory firm runs a relationship system alongside it, plus a portfolio and reporting system, plus a planning tool, and the same client identity is entered into each because there is no shared key between them.

When this is the wrong thing to build
Pick something else if meetings are booked ad hoc and every agenda is different, because the pack will be wrong more often than useful. This pays where a review cycle is defined and the same items get pulled for every household inside it.
The constraint that shapes it
Books and records rules require preservation of communications relating to advice and recommendations, and to the movement of funds, in an accessible place, for a defined period with the earliest portion held locally. More on how this sector works.
A deadline arrives. The bundle builds itself from what is already there. Read what this shape is, or start from one of these.
- Building a commission disbursement authorization at closing
- Drafting a seller net sheet from a payoff statement
- Building a demand package the adjuster can actually open
- Filling a mandatory form set from the matter record
- Drafting the disbursement statement behind a settlement payment
- Getting the job photos onto the invoice before it sends
- How do I build a client review agenda from the last meeting notes?
- What should be checked before an annual review meeting with a client?
- Can a prep summary pull performance and open tasks together?
- How do I see what changed in a financial plan since last year?
- Where do I find pending custodian items before a client meeting?
